Used by First Nations peoples, the Talking Stick symbolizes respect, listening, and the power of words. Traditionally shared in council circles, it gives each person the right to speak from the heart while others listen in silence. The Talking Stick reminds us that every voice carries value, and that true dialogue begins with respect and understanding.
Each piece is authentically hand-carved by Jim Yelton of the Squamish Nation, carrying with it the spirit of tradition and connection. As a gift, the Talking Stick can symbolize the recipient’s voice, their work, or their meaningful contributions —a lasting reminder of respect, leadership, and the strength found in shared understanding.
