Located twenty miles below the Alaskan border is the Coast Tsimshian village of Lax Kw’alaams. Connie is a raven of this village also known as Port Simpson. After graduating from high school in Prince Rupert where she was born and raised.

Connie attended the Kitanmax School of Northwest Coast Native Art in Hazleton, BC for two years. On completion of the course, wood carving became the medium of choice.

After having three children she decided to explore her artistic expression through drawing. She has used this skill to create clothing, and tableware.
