P̓egp̓íg̓lha / Wex̲és / Frog Plushie Workshop

10+ up, younger participants are welcome with an Adult helper to sew.
Join Mixalhítsa7 Alison Pascal, Curator to help create a Wex̲és (Squamish) P̓egp̓íg̓lha (Lil̓wat) Frog Plushies for an installation in the SLCC’s next exhibition, Wisdom of the Animal People, Sk̲wx̲wú7mesh and Li̓l̓wat Ways of Knowing. The plushies will be made of suede made of pigs, felt, fibre fill, they will be 10cm x 10 cm. Older participants may use dyed rabbit fur. It will take approximately 1.5 hours to complete.
The frogs’ song is a call for hope, warmer weather, the arrival of fresh food and our way of knowing that Spring is here.
