At the age of 19 Alvin began silver-smithing and eventually expanded his craft to include copper and gold. He worked for many years as a silver - and goldsmith creating both traditional and custom jewelry for galleries and private collectors. His work includes pendants rings and bracelets.
Aside from creating jewelry Alvin has continued as a wood carver and is well-known for his work with non-traditional woods such as mahogany cherry and alder. His designs are a mix of both traditional and contemporary. His work have been sold to collectors throughout North America Europe and Australia.
