The Hawk

Hawk is the protector and visionary of the air and holds the key to higher levels of consciousness. This powerful animal enables us to awaken visions and inspires a creative life purpose by receiving messages from the universe. Hawks are known for long distance memory and recalling past lives. Hawk has clear sighted vision and is observant, allowing him to see what the future holds.

The Hawk can be identified in Pacific Northwest Coast First Nations art by his small sharp curved beak that often touches his upper lip in frontal views, sharp talons, wing and tails. The Hawk is often depicted in the centre of sun images because of myths that involve the hawk and suns relationship.
